Vladlove Show Her Visual Prime Anime

Mamoru Oshii's original Anime "Vladlove" has featured new visuals through its official website. The site also introduces two characters that are not currently revealed to whom the Seiyuu is.

The characters revealed are:

This Anime tells about Mitsugu Bamba who diligently donated blood although his unique type of blood is barely usable. One day he finds a weak girl in a blood bank that suddenly destroys the bank. After the incident the girl collapsed and Mitsugu decides to bring her home. Realizing that the girl needed blood, she opened a blood donor club at her school.

The Anime initially premiered in the spring of 2020 but was postponed to Autumn 2020, and will run for 12 episodes. Oshii notes that the story will only focus on five girls. He adds that he wants to "seriously tackle a story centered on the concept of meeting the girls," and says that Mai "feels similar to Lum from Urusei Yatsura."

Oshii said that he planned the concept before filming for the Garm Wars movie. She contemplated that it's been over 30 years since the last time she made the anime series (Urusei Yatsura), and she has felt like to re-create the anime series in the last two or three years.

Oshii is known to have worked on many major works such as Urusei Yatsura, Angel's Egg, Patlabor, Ghost in the Shell, Jin-Roh, and many more.
